Yuba City Firefighters Association, Local 3793
The mission of the Yuba City Firefighters Association, Local 3793 is to provide a high level of representation, services and support to its members and to serve the greater good of the local community as a non-profit, benevolent association.
Yuba City Firefighters are affliliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), California Professional Firefighters (CPF) and the California State Firefigters' Association (CSFA).
The primary core value of Yuba City Firefighters is excellent service to the community both on and off duty. The Association sponsors and supports many community events and charitable causes throughout the year. Here are some of the annual events and organizations that the Association supports:
- Kristina Miller Scholarship and Celebration of Life Event.
- American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
- Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Fill-the-Boot.
- Yuba City Annual Children’s Fourth of July Parade.
- Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) Dinner.
- Yuba City High School Athletics.
- River Valley High School Athletics.
- Yuba-Sutter Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk.
- Yuba-Sutter United Way.
- Sutter North Foundation Golf Classic.
- Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce.
- Friends of Yuba City Parks and Recreation Foundation.
- Tri-Counties Blue Star Moms Freedom Walk (to support local troops overseas).
- Friends of the Sutter County Library.
- Cal Trans Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Program.
The Association’s motto is “Proud to Serve” and its members are always looking for new opportunities to continue to make Yuba City an even greater place to live, work and play.
